People who live in New Zealand are called New Zealanders but the first people who landed there were the Maori. They came about one thousand years ago. This is how they looked then.
Now there are other nationalities living in New Zealand too. Lots of them came from Europe. You can tell the difference quite easily. Maori look more like the people from Tonga that I met.
