New Zealand is good for growing fruit. The green one in my picture is called kiwifruit and you may know that New Zealanders are often called kiwis.
Ev told me that the fruit actually came from China where it was called the Chinese gooseberry.
It was a good idea to change the name otherwise New Zealanders might be called gooseberries. The other fruit is a persimmon. What fruit grows in your country?
