Traditional houses are called bures. They are made of woven leaf walls and the roofs are made of dried leaves too.

Most Fijian house in villages are only one floor. This way they will not blow down in the strong winds they sometimes have. These winds are called cyclones and can do a lot of damage.

New houses have stone walls and tin roofs. See the video.
